Papadopoulos and Bruce receive EDEN
7th Open Classroom Conference Award

Anestis Papadopoulos (Platon School) and Dr Alan Bruce (Universal Learning Systems) were awarded for their work, which represents leading innovative practice. The award was given at EDEN 7th Open Classroom Conference in Porto, Portugal 15 – 17 October 2009. According to the conference jury, paper "Preparing Pupils for a Changing Planet: Learner Empowerment and Cultural Competence through Innovative Best Practice" prepared by Papadopoulos and Bruce, is a significant contribution to the improvement of innovative pedagogical understanding.

Platon School (Greece) joins consortium is very proud to announce that Platon School (Greece) has joined the consortium. Platon School is a private school located in Katerini. It is well-known for its innovative approach to the development and application of pedagogical practices. The school operates at four levels: kindergarten (4 - 6 year age group), primary (7 – 12 age group), gymnasium (13 – 15 age group) and lyceum (16 – 18 age group). In the 2009-10 academic year there will be more than 300 students.

COMING UP! E-learning Symposium, Dublin (Jan 2010)

The first annual Dublin e-learning Symposium invites companies, organisations and educators to discuss and develop new solutions for workplace learning. The symposium will include workshops around the workplace learning theme and presentations about succesful e-learning initiatives in multicultural working environments. at EDEN Annual Conference 2009,
Gdansk (Jun 10-13th)

Europe's largest annual e-learning conference EDEN 09 was held in Gdansk, Poland between 10Th and 13th of June. Conference theme was "Innovation in learning communities".'s Alan Bruce and Teemu Patala presented their paper on new innovative workplace e-learning applications for customer service training.

Helsinki meeting (14-16th May 2009) meeting in Helsinki included 3 days of intensive work for new learning concepts and meetings with new and existing customers.

Dublin meeting (6-8th Feb 2009)

During the Dublin weekend the importance of learning, education and training in diversity and multicultural issues was discussed with a number of Irish professionals.

Online Educa Berlin 2008 highlights
